Every friendship becomes an opportunity to quietly ask, “Father, how are You already at work here?” That simple question changes everything. It changes how we listen. How we speak. How we pray. How we encourage. How we forgive. How we wait. We stop trying to manufacture spiritual conversations. Instead, we begin joining conversations the Holy Spirit has already begun. That takes tremendous pressure off. Disciplemaking no longer depends on finding perfect words. It begins with faithful presence. Showing up, paying attention, listening carefully, opening the Scriptures naturally, praying honestly, and sharing meals gladly. Returning next week. And the week after that. Love rarely grows through dramatic moments alone. More often it grows through ordinary faithfulness. We’ve become convinced that one of the greatest gifts you can give another person is your unhurried attention. In a distracted world, attention is becoming one of the rarest expressions of love. Jesus gave it generously. Hospitality begins with making room. Room in our schedules. Room in our conversations. Room at our tables. Room in our hearts. One more chair. One more story. One more question. One more friend.

Give one person your undivided attention today and quietly ask, “Father, how are You already at work here?”
