An Invitation to Read the Whole Story—With Jesus at the Center

Each year, a few of us choose to do something simple—but deeply formative: We read the entire Bible together as disciplemaking friends. This year, we’re using the God’s Love Letter – A Chronological Plus reading plan on YouVersion.

We chose this plan because of its simplicity and focus:

• Scripture only — no commentary or devotionals

• Chronological flow — the order the story unfolds

• Jesus at the center — the Gospels are read twice,
   so we spend the year walking closely with Jesus

• A prayerful rhythm — Psalms and Proverbs are also
 read twice, helping shape our hearts and prayers

• A manageable daily pace — steady, realistic readings
 that fit everyday life

This isn’t about checking boxes or keeping up appearances. It’s about giving ourselves space to listen—to hear God’s voice through His Word and to keep returning to Jesus as the center of the story and of our lives.  There’s no pressure to read perfectly or never miss a day. This plan simply gives us a shared pathway, so we’re formed together—even as we read on our own.

We read knowing others are opening the same Scriptures, walking the same timeline, and spending the year with the same Savior.
