The Life God Has Always Wanted You to Have (Part 3)

So you've prayed The Disciplemaker's Prayer.

And you've invited a few to join you on a disciplemaking adventure.

What's next in seizing The Life God Has Always Wanted You to Have?

King Jesus gives the orders...

Part 3: Gather

"And it came to pass in those days, He went out to the mountain to pray, and he spent the whole night in prayer to God. And being seated, when day came, He called to Himself His disciples, whom He wanted, and they went away to Him. And He chose twelve of them, whom He also named apostles, in order thatthey might be with Him, and that He might send them out to preach...." —Mark 3:13-14, Luke 6:12-13, from the Merged Gospels

When you gather together, what should a Disciplemaking Learning Community (DLC) gathering look and feel like?

Consider the disciplemaking genius of Jesus. Jesus gathered his DLC "that he might be with them and they he might send them out..." (See Scripture above.)

But what does a Jesus-like Disciplemaking Learning Community look like in our 21st century Western culture? That's exactly what I've been trying to describe with the eight leading indicators in The Disciplemaking Genius of Jesus series. But alas, no series, book, sermon, workshop, conference, blog, college course can ever really describe it completely or definitively.

You'll need to experience a true DLC to get the a fuller understanding of a DLC.

My hope is that The Life God Has Always Wanted You to Have will get you started and The Disciplemaking Genius of Jesus will keep you and the DLCs you're a part of anchored in the biblical DNA of Jesus-like disciplemaking.

What are you waiting for? Let the Jesus-like disciplemaking adventures begin...
