Meet The Team

Jon is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and is currently a freelancer at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Here is what he has to say about his filming career.

"In the beginning, we're all students. Coming of age with the DVD commentary track, I remember sitting cross-legged at my mom’s coffee table, pen and paper at the ready, absorbing my favorite filmmakers' insights and influences. One film would lead me to ten more.

While pursuing my film degree, I immersed myself in storytelling across diverse platforms. Throughout college, I embraced narrative and editorial storytelling, balancing my time between the film department and the school's digital newsroom. Transitioning into the industry, I gained invaluable experience as an assistant, witnessing firsthand how concepts become successful television series within the intricate workings of Hollywood film and television studios.

Today, I excel in a multifaceted role at Universal Studios Parks. As a Production Services Representative, I contribute to the success of Universal marketing, scripted and unscripted television, as well as filmed live entertainment. My freelance work with the Universal Studios Hollywood marketing department has honed my skills in writing, directing, filming, and editing content for various platforms, including social media and in-park experiences such as the World Famous Studio Tour.

Throughout my journey, my primary role has continued to be Student. Before I was a teenager, my earliest work evolved from school projects to complete live-media programming for junior high and high school conferences. This never-ending passion for learning is a driving force in my life and work. It fuels my growth and makes learning alongside young storytellers not just a privilege but essential to where Story takes me next.”
