Christmas Makers Market

This unique learning experience will give students a chance to learn about economics in a hands on real life market.

Our Christmas Makers Market will give students a chance to make gifts to sell for Christmas. Items do not need to be Christmas items, but we encourage students to create items that would make good Christmas gifts. Each student will create their own booth in the market and will be responsible for selling their items at the booth.  We encourage students to be creative in designing items to sell. 

Each student will need to bring their own cash box and change.

Each student is responsible for setting up their own booth.  When you register you can select if you want a table or a table and a clothing rack. Your students can choose if they want to share a table or register for their own table. You will also need to select your set up time.  Booths need to be set up by 9:30am on Monday.  You can come set up on Sunday night from 6-8pm or on Monday morning from 9-9:30. Tables are first come, first served.  There will be enough tables for every student however we cannot guarantee the size table your student will be able to use. There are 3 table sizes that will be available.

At 9:30 on Monday morning we will be a brief training time with the students. All tables need to be ready before the training and we ask that all students attend the training.  The market will be open from 10-1:00pm.  We recommend brining a sack lunch and a water bottle.

Each student will be required to clean up their own booth and bring home all items that don't sell.  

Once you register we will be sending out a promotional packet that your student can use to advertise the sale.  The more they advertise and market their booth, the better chance they will have of selling their items.
