Artist's Academy

We will be offering elementary, middle school and high school tracks for our Artist's Academy.

Artist's Academy meets every other Monday @ Ridgewood Church from 10am-noon.

We will be offering a few unique Artist Academy learning experiences throughout the year.  Some of these will be stand alone experiences such as rock painting, introduction to crocheting and bracelet making. These learning experiences will give hands on application as students learn about color theory.

Our middle school and high school track students will be working on a semester project under the mentorship of Artist Tom Foty. He will join us to mentor and guide students as they work on learning to build a strong foundation in creating art.  Students will learn how to critique their art work and how to take feedback as they work to create unique works of art. 

Students will have the option to add on a hand lettering track.  In this track students will be learning the basics of hand lettering and how to use it to create unique pieces of art. Students who participate in this track will receive a journal to help them practice at home. There will be weekly homework for the students in the handlettering track.

The cost of this cohort includes all supplies needed for all the learning experiences.  Students in the hand lettering track will get a journal for practicing. 

The commitment is from 10am-noon on the following days:

October 14th & 28th

November 11th

December 2nd & 16th

January 13th & 27th

February 10th & 24th

March 3rd, 17th, & 31st

April 14th & 28th

May 12th

We will not meet on November 25th or December 30th.

This is not a drop of learning experience. An adult must register and stay with your student(s).
