We had great response to our first group order of the California Achievement Test and had a number of families ask if we will be ordering again. We are planning to place another order once we receive enough orders to meet the minimum.

It took about 3 months to gather enough orders for our first order so we anticipate that we will be able to order around August/September 2023.

We ordered extra practice tests with our last group order to meet the minimum, so those are available now.  It can take up to a week to process your order and get you a log in for your practice test. 

 

If you want you can order a practice test to have your students take online in advance, there is not a paper version of the practice test.

If you are planning to order a full CAT along with your practice test, we recommend ordering them at the same time.  This will ensure that your order for the full CAT will be placed with our next order.

When registering you will need to select the number of tests you want to purchase and what type of test you want for each student.  (Timed or untimed, online or paper.) 

 

Tests never expire, so you can order extra tests if you would like to use them in the future. Each test will be connected to the student you order the test for, however this can be easily changed by emailing Academic Excellence if you want to change the grade or student connected with the test. You will have to fill out a registration form when ordering for each test you purchase.  You will give the student name and grade of each test.  It is reccomended to test for the next grade. For example, if your student is finishing 4th grade you will choose 5th grade for your test.  

 

If you prefer the paper CAT, you will need to mail the completed CAT into Academic Excellence to have it graded. (They provide a return envelope to mailing the test back to them.)

 

You will be emailed the code for the online tests.  If you select paper, you have 2 options. You can choose to have the paper test mailed to you by selecting the 'ship to me' option and it will be mailed to you after we recieve them. If you don't want to pay for shipping, you can choose 'pick-up, no shipping' and pick up the test in Minnetonka. We will email you once we receive the tests to arrange for pick up. Paper tests generally take 2 weeks longer for us to process and receive them.

We are also placing an order for teacher and student IDs. If you want to order IDs, we will send you a follow up email with the details so you can personalize your IDs. You can select to pick up or you can pay for shipping to have your ID shipped to you. The process for placing a group order for IDs takes time, we will order in September and it may take 3-4 weeks to receive your IDs.

We want to help as many families as we can save money on their annual testing. We recognize that it can be a long wait to get your test codes, but finding enough families to place a group order takes time and the process of placing a group order takes a while to get all the details finalized.  Please feel free to share this page with your co-op or in Facebook groups.  The more families who order the quicker we will be able to place another group order. We will work to send monthly updates on the status of our order.
