Mark & Rachel O'Brien
Mark and Rachel O’Brien have been partnering together and helping middle school students become friends who follow Jesus together since 2002. It has been their joy to encourage, support, and resource both middle school students and their leaders to become disciplemaking followers of Jesus. Their role with Cadre Ministries is to help this next generation embrace a life with Christ through disciplemaking experiences like Equip and resources like Spiritual Caffeine postings in our shared Cadre Blog. They also serve with Cadre by encouraging and coaching middle school leaders.
Mark first started working with middle school students during his sophomore year of high school - and he has never looked back. He is driven by journeying with middle school students and their leaders as they follow Jesus together. The only thing better has been his wife Rachel, son Jonathan, and daughter McKenzie-Rae joining him on this middle school disciplemaking adventure.
Rachel has spent years helping middle school students discover how incredibly big God is and the joy and freedom that comes from their new identity in Christ. She loves to engage middle school students in creative, hands-on, following Jesus together experiences. Rachel also excels at encouraging and coaching middle school leaders on this disciplemaking journey.
